  • No lounge access or insurance benefits are explicitly listed under SELECT or Base variant; those are privileges of the PRIME card in analogous SBI co-brand products.

Why This Card Launch Matters Now?

This launch reflects SBI Card’s ongoing strategy to expand its retail co-branded credit card portfolio, as noted in earlier press releases, and public knowledge.

The move comes at a time when Indian credit card usage is growing, and consumer preference is shifting toward reward-rich cards tailored to shopping and lifestyle spending. Retail loyalty programs like Landmark Rewards see this as an opportunity to deepen engagement across multiple store brands.

Should you get these cards?

If you frequently shop at Landmark brands, the PRIME variant offers the highest returns and rewards, especially for those with high annual spend. For lighter shoppers, the Base or SELECT variants may offer a better cost-benefit ratio due to lower fees.

Monzy’s View

The SBI-Landmark Rewards cards fill a clear niche for shoppers tied to the Landmark group. For those customers, the rewards and milestone bonuses, especially under the PRIME versio,n deliver substantial value. However, ongoing revisions and devaluation news will affect how the card issuer (SBI Card) will adjust value propositions, possibly in response to regulatory trends or cost pressures.

Prospective cardholders should model their spending patterns against both current benefits and known upcoming changes.

If you’re considering applying:

  • Compare your annual spend at Landmark stores with the fees and benefits of each variant to determine which type offers the best net value to you.
  • Watch out for caps on bonus/fuel surcharges per cycle to prevent surprises.
  • If you have or plan to get the Lifestyle Home Centre variants, note that after September 1, 2025, any gaming or government portal spend won’t earn you reward points.
  • Keep an eye on SBI’s website and communications for updates on benefits, especially in high-fee variants, which tend to undergo adjustments.
