The Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025, held in Mumbai from October 7-9, showed many promising launches and innovative offerings for users in India.
Major banks and fintechs, including Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, YES Bank, DCB Bank with OneCard, SBI with Mastercard, HPCL, HDFC, and IDFC FIRST Bank announced new card launches over the three days.
Here are the most promising credit card launches at GFF 2025:
BOBCARD Cashback Credit Card
The BOBCARD Cashback Credit Card debuted as a strong option for online shoppers, providing accelerated cashback for digital purchases.
Its unique pricing structure (monthly fee model) makes it particularly attractive for value-conscious spenders, though there is a cap on maximum monthly cashback.
- 5% cashback on domestic online spends above ₹10,000 per month (1% base + 4% accelerated).
- Cashbacks are capped at ₹1,500/month.

The new Celestia RuPay EKAA Credit Card by Bank of India was the talk of the event. It is part of the ultra-premium EKAA range, designed for high-net-worth individuals.
Early access at the Fest hints at impressive lifestyle and travel benefits, with a focus on the RuPay Select platform.
Nearly all online feedback anticipates unlimited lounge access and rich welcome rewards.
- Card fee: ₹5,000 per annum.
- Benefits valued up to ₹1.5 lakh annually, targeting high-net-worth individuals with exclusive lifestyle perks.

YES FIRST RuPay JCB Business Credit Card
YES Bank’s YES FIRST RuPay Business Credit Card is targeted at entrepreneurs and SMEs. It is again riding the RuPay network and offers robust rewards, particularly for business and travel spends.
The card combines UPI flexibility with attractive milestone and EMI options, focusing on digital business use.
- Low joining/annual fee with fee waivers on annual spends over ₹5 lakh.

Overall, Global Fintech Fest launches seemed to be promoting the RuPay network heavily. Early chatter on online communities suggests that most of these cards might not be very valuable (except for one or two). But we'll have to see if the credit card users of India accept these launches with open arms and if it impacts card circulation in India.
