Out of curiosity, I decided to try a lounge, partly to kill time, partly to see what lounges offer that food courts dont.

That’s when I first got a taste of complimentary airport lounge access with my ICICI Amazon Pay card. (Lines were shorter back then 😅). The experience was simple: swipe, walk in, grab a coffee, and relax away from the chaos outside.

Now, with another trip coming up, I found myself wondering, “Will my ICICI credit card still give me lounge access in 2025?”

That one thought led me down a rabbit hole of Reddit discussions, where cardholders are actively debating the current lounge situation. 

Some users report that DreamFolks access has been retired on ICICI cards, while others share mixed experiences regarding which lounges still honor complimentary visits.

So, to cut through the noise, I decided to dig deeper, looking at official ICICI documents, updated lounge lists, and real user experiences. And this blog is a result of my research in August 2025

What ICICI Credit Card Users Say about Lounge Access?

When I have to take an opinion, I browse Reddit partly because there’s a great community there.

Another user shared the same info, "Icici card not accepted in dreamfolks.". 

One thread, explained the situation

"So, ICICI Sapphiro credit card had a 5000 per quarter spent criterion for lounge access in the next quarter. Now it has been changed from 5000 to straight 75000 per quarter."

There was some clarity, too. Another user pointed this out in a thread comment:  

"For some cards like ICICI Coral, you can check whether the card is acceptable in a particular lounge or not using DreamFolks' web access utility."

So, what’s the truth? 

Here’s the short version: 

• DreamFolks access is gone. Many users across multiple public sources confirm that ICICI cards are no longer accepted across the DreamFolks network to access complimentary airport lounges.
• Rules have tightened. For example, ICICI Sapphiro now requires ₹75,000 spend per quarter (up from ₹5,000 earlier) to avail free lounge access.
• Confusion is across the lounges. Some lounges accept ICICI cards;the others don’t. Users say it depends on the lounge and card type.
• DIY checks are preferred. People are using DreamFolks or lounge websites to confirm if their card will work before waiting in line.
• Mixed satisfaction. Some still find Coral or Sapphiro useful for occasional access, but frequent flyers feel the perks have been diluted.

What does ICICI says officially? 

After going through Reddit threads and user experiences, I wanted to double-check what ICICI Bank itself says about lounge access. 

Buried in the T&Cs of one airport lounge partner's website, I found a document that clearly outlines the eligibility, visits, and conditions for lounge access for ICICI credit card holders. This is dated March 2024. So, not the most updated one: 

Here’s the summary of the document for ICICI bank credit cardholders:

• Complimentary Visits. The document specifies how many domestic or international lounge visits each cardholder gets per calendar quarter.
• Eligible Cardholders. Benefits apply only to primary cardholders with an unexpired credit card in good standing.
• Access Process. You need to present your boarding pass + ICICI Bank credit card at participating lounges.
• Guest Access. Complimentary visits are usually not extended to accompanying guests; they’ll be charged separately, or should have their cards.
• Spend Criteria, For some premium cards (like Sapphiro), complimentary lounge access is tied to minimum quarterly spends (as stated above by some users) 
• Third-Party Providers. Lounge tie-ups for free access run via providers such as Visa, MasterCard, RuPay, or Adani One (not DreamFolks anymore).

How to Avail Complimentary Lounge Access with ICICI Bank Credit Cards? 

Unlike the old days when DreamFolks handled most of the lounge tie-ups, ICICI Bank has now shifted to Adani One ICICI and other network partners (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay) for lounge access. 

The process is fairly straightforward, but there are a few important conditions to keep in mind:

• Carry your card. You will need your unexpired ICICI credit card (primary cardholder) + a valid boarding pass for the same day’s travel.
• Find a participating lounge. Check the latest lounge list on a partner’s website (like Adani One) for domestic access. For international travel, eligibility depends on your card’s network partner (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay). Check the complete list here. 
• Swipe your card at the lounge entrance. The lounge will authenticate through the network provider. Complimentary visits are automatically deducted from your quarterly quota.
• Know the Limits. Most ICICI cards allow a fixed number of free visits per calendar quarter. Additional visits are announced at entry and charged directly to your card.
• Guest Policy. Complimentary lounge access usually applies only to the cardholder. Accompanying guests must pay separately.

Pro Tip: Before your trip, check the Adani One lounge access list or your card’s network provider website to confirm which lounges are currently active. This avoids last-minute surprises at the airport.
