Your friend circle probably has strong opinions about HDFC Infinia or Axis Magnus. But have you noticed almost nobody talks about cards from IndusInd Bank? That's because IndusInd built its card book around relationship customers, rather than chasing the aspirational crowd.
If you already bank with IndusInd, or you've explored IndusInd’s catalogue, you may have noticed that it’s quite different from the usual HDFC-versus-Axis conversation.
IndusInd Bank runs 22 active retail credit cards, from a ₹0-fee RuPay UPI card built with CRED to a ₹90,000-joining-fee metal card reserved for its Pioneer Heritage banking clients.
This article lists everything, including cards that are actually free for life, ones that had their lounge access taken away, and the one to pick depending on how you spend.
Who is IndusInd Bank, and Where Does It Stand with the RBI?
IndusInd Bank is a private sector bank, founded in 1994 by S.P. Hinduja. Named after the Indus Valley Civilisation, the bank has its headquarters in Mumbai. It’s listed on both the NSE and BSE, and it has been part of the NIFTY 50 index since 2013.
It’s recognised as a scheduled commercial bank under the Second Schedule of the RBI Act. And RBI has allowed it to take current and savings deposits, issue cheques, and offer credit products including credit cards.
Through its 3,137 branches and 2,853 ATMs spread across India, IndusInd Bank serves roughly 42 million customers. Every deposit in IndusInd Bank, separate from your credit cards, carries the DICGC insurance of up to ₹5 lakh per depositor.
On card networks specifically, IndusInd issues across four networkd – Visa, Mastercard, RuPay and American Express. That's a broader network spread than most Indian issuers bother with.

Best IndusInd Bank Credit Cards to Pick
If you just want a free card that works everywhere: Platinum Visa. No joining fee, no annual fee, ever. A 1% fuel surcharge waiver at any petrol pump in India, plus complimentary personal air-accident insurance cover up to ₹25 lakh.
If you want the best flat lifetime-free rewards rate: Pinnacle. Although it has a one-time ₹15,000 joining fee, it offers excellent rewards. The lounge access, though, is thin: one domestic visit per quarter, and it’s spend-gated.
If you eat out often and want a genuinely free dining card: EazyDiner IndusInd Bank Platinum RuPay. It’s a no-fee RuPay UPI card that stacks an extra 20% dining discount through the EazyDiner app, a free monthly BookMyShow ticket, and three months of EazyDiner Prime membership.
If you fuel up at Jio-bp regularly, get Jio-bp Mobility+. It gives you 12 Smiles per ₹100 at Jio-bp outlets specifically (capped at 1,200 Smiles a cycle).
For CRED users, the IndusInd Bank RuPay CRED card offers a 5% return on CRED and e-commerce spends. But the CRED Points received can only be redeemed inside the CRED ecosystem.
If your annual spend clears ₹5 lakh, apply for IndusInd Bank Tiger. Tiger's slab-based rewards hit 6 points per ₹100 with zero annual fee above that threshold. Below it, skip it. The headline rate doesn't apply to you, and Legend or Samman RuPay will serve you just as well at the base tier.
Frequent international flyers on Qatar Airways or British Airways can get the Avios Visa Infinite card. It offers a 20,000-Avios welcome bonus per airline programme, up to 6 Avios per ₹200, and 4 lounge visits a quarter. It has a ₹10,000 joining and ₹5,000 renewal fee.
Recent IndusInd Bank Credit Card Devaluations
Lounge access moved from free to spend-gated on six cards (2026). Indulge and Indus Solitaire now need ₹5 lakh of quarterly spend to unlock domestic airport lounge access; Pioneer Legacy, Crest, Celesta and Pinnacle need ₹1.5 lakh a quarter.
A cluster of fee changes landed on 15 June 2026 that mostly hit standard and mid-tier cards harder than premium ones. A 1% + GST fuel transaction fee now applies once cumulative fuel spend crosses ₹30,000 (standard cards) or ₹50,000 (premium cards) in a cycle.
Also, Dynamic Currency Conversion charges on international transactions billed in rupees rose to 2% + GST on standard cards and 1% + GST on premium cards. And a 1% + GST transport fee now applies above ₹40,000 of transport-category spend per cycle (excluding air travel).
EazyDiner IndusInd Bank Platinum RuPay Credit Card launched 7 August 2026 as a lifetime-free dining card. The IndusInd Bank RuPay Credit Card, co-branded with CRED, launched in September 2026 as a UPI-first RuPay card built specifically for the CRED app's payment flows. An overdraft/cash-credit-linked corporate credit card was also launched in September 2026.
Golf and lounge terms on several premium cards were revised through March 2026, ahead of the broader July 2026 devaluation. Celesta's golf benefit dropped to one complimentary game and one lesson per month from 10 March 2026; Crest's moved to two games and two lessons per month.
Crest also discontinued complimentary ITC Hotels membership for new cardholders boarded after 15 September 2025.
FAQs about IndusInd credit cards
Which IndusInd Bank credit card is genuinely free for life?
Legend, Tiger, Samman RuPay, Platinum RuPay, Platinum Visa, Platinum Aura Edge, and the new EazyDiner Platinum RuPay all carry ₹0 joining and ₹0 annual fee. Apart from those, Platinum Master charges a small one-time joining fee (₹3,000) but no recurring annual fee.
Why did IndusInd Bank cut lounge access on its premium cards?
From the July–September 2026 quarter, Indulge and Indus Solitaire require ₹5 lakh of quarterly spend, and Pioneer Legacy, Crest, Celesta, and Pinnacle require ₹1.5 lakh of quarterly spend, to unlock domestic lounge access, which was previously unconditional.
Can I get an IndusInd Bank credit card that works well with UPI?
Yes. The RuPay-network cards, including Samman RuPay, Platinum RuPay, the CRED co-brand RuPay card, EazyDiner Platinum RuPay, and Jio-bp Mobility+, all support UPI-linked spending. Amex-network IndusInd cards don't currently support UPI linkage.
Is the IndusInd Pioneer series worth its joining fee?
Only if you're already an IndusInd Pioneer private-banking client. The four cards – Private, Heritage, Legacy and Solitaire – are issued only to existing relationship customers. If you're being offered one, the fee makes sense against the banking relationship you already hold.
What network does the ePay American Express card actually run on?
American Express itself. IndusInd is one of the few Indian banks issuing directly on the Amex network rather than only accepting it. It's also lifetime free, with a strong 3.5% best-case return. But Amex acceptance in India is narrower than Visa, Mastercard, or RuPay, so check merchant acceptance before you rely on it as your main card.
Does IndusInd Bank have any credit cards for fuel spending specifically?
Jio-bp Mobility+ is the dedicated pick, earning 12 Smiles per ₹100 at Jio-bp outlets, capped at 1,200 Smiles a cycle, with a ₹499 joining fee waived on ₹10,000 of spend in the first 90 days.
If your regular pump isn't a Jio-bp station, this card earns nothing extra. Check our broader fuel credit cards guide for brand-agnostic options instead.
