Which HDFC credit card will offer you lounge access? Or are the happy days over already?

Benefits
hdfc-credit-card-lounge-access-2026

Imagine yourself at the Bengaluru airport, delayed by 90 minutes, and you spot the lounge sign. You pull out your HDFC card confidently, only to be told it doesn't qualify, or that you needed to hit ₹50,000 in the last quarter for the voucher to activate.

That moment happens to people every week.

HDFC Bank has over 40 active credit cards, and airport lounge access ranges from zero (MoneyBack, Freedom) to genuinely unlimited (Infinia, Diners Black).

Plus, after September 2025 when DreamFolks shut operations, the lounge access landscape in India changed entirely in the backend. HDFC also changed its terms from direct swipes to a milestone based voucher system since then.

So, if you haven't checked your card's terms since then, your old mental model is probably wrong.

This page has the current list so you know before you get to the gate.

The Spend Condition Trap: Cards That Gate Lounge Access Behind Milestones

HDFC's mid-tier cards have shifted from direct-swipe lounge access to a voucher model tied to quarterly spending. This is the change that's catching the most people off guard right now.

  • HDFC Millennia: The card lists up to 8 domestic lounge visits per year, but they are not available by default from day one. Access unlocks as a milestone benefit based on quarterly spend.
  • Tata Neu Infinity HDFC: Spend ₹50,000 in a calendar quarter to unlock 2 domestic lounge access vouchers for that quarter. No spend, no vouchers. The voucher system replaced direct card swipes as of June 10, 2025. You need to claim these through the relevant lounge app (Adani One or Hoi depending on airport).
  • Tata Neu Plus HDFC: Same structure as Infinity but scaled down: ₹50,000 quarterly spend unlocks 1 voucher per quarter, for a maximum of 4 visits annually.
  • PhonePe HDFC Ultimo: The ₹999-a-year card lists 8 domestic lounge visits, but requires ₹75,000 in spend in the previous quarter for access to activate. That's ₹25,000 a month minimum. If you're consistently spending at that level on a ₹999 card, the HDFC Regalia Gold — which gives 12 visits, Priority Pass, and a higher rewards rate — is a better fit. The Axis Magnus is also worth a look too at that spend level.

How Priority Pass Works with HDFC Cards?

Airport lounge access in India now runs through the Adani One and Hoi apps for most domestic lounges. But HDFC's top-tier cards use Priority Pass for international access, and this operates separately from those apps.

  • Which HDFC cards include Priority Pass: Infinia Metal Edition, Regalia Gold, and Regalia Activ include Priority Pass membership. Diners Black uses its own network for international access rather than Priority Pass.
  • How to activate it: Priority Pass doesn't come automatically. After receiving your card, you register for it through the HDFC SmartBuy portal or by calling the helpline. Priority Pass then mails a physical card. You can also use the Priority Pass app at most participating lounges internationally, both physical card and app versions are accepted at most airports abroad.
  • The Regalia Gold activation condition: The Regalia Gold includes Priority Pass, but the terms specify it only activates after 4 retail transactions on the card. New cardholders flying internationally in their first week may find the Priority Pass declined if they haven't made 4 purchases yet. A small threshold, but worth knowing.
  • Domestic use: For domestic lounges, Priority Pass is generally less relevant since most Indian airport lounges now use Adani One or Hoi for verification. Infinia and Diners Black cardholders should check the relevant app for their departure airport rather than presenting Priority Pass at domestic lounges: the acceptance varies.

What Changed for HDFC Lounge Access After DreamFolks?

For many years, swiping a credit card at a lounge counter was the only step required. DreamFolks ran the backend verification for most mid-tier and co-branded cards, and the process was seamless.

In September 2025, DreamFolks shut operations, leaving lounge staff confused, bank helplines swamped, and a lot of "eligible" cards stopping to work.

Now, the new system is fragmented. Lounge access now runs through three separate apps depending on which airport you're at:

  • Adani One App: Covers all Adani-managed airports: Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, and others.
  • Hoi App: Handles GMR-operated airports: Delhi, Hyderabad, Goa.
  • TFS Lounge Options: Covers airports where neither Adani nor GMR operates the lounges.

You need to download the relevant app before your trip, link your card (a small authorisation charge may apply for verification), and generate a QR code or voucher. Showing up with the physical card and expecting a swipe to work is no longer reliable at most lounges.

Does MoneyBack, Freedom, and Entry Cards by HDFC Offer Lounge Access?

To be direct about the cards that show up in a lot of searches: HDFC MoneyBack, MoneyBack Plus, Freedom, Swiggy HDFC, IndianOil HDFC, and Platinum Times have zero lounge access. No domestic, no international, no vouchers, no Priority Pass.

These are entry-level or co-brand cashback products. The MoneyBack's value is in its 2X online rewards and fee waiver conditions, not travel perks. If someone has told you their HDFC MoneyBack includes lounge access, they are mistaken.

The Millennia technically unlocks lounge access on milestone spend, which makes it a step up from MoneyBack, but it's conditional, not guaranteed. Someone looking for dependable access without tracking quarterly spends would be better served by other cards shared above.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does HDFC Millennia give free lounge access?

Not unconditionally. Millennia includes up to 8 domestic lounge visits per year, but they're structured as a milestone benefit tied to quarterly spending. If you don't meet the quarterly spend target, the lounge access doesn't unlock for that quarter. This is different from cards like Pixel Go or Regalia Gold where visits come standard.

Which HDFC card gives unlimited lounge access?

Three cards: Infinia Metal Edition (₹12,500/year), Diners Club Black (₹10,000/year), and Diners Club Black Metal Edition (₹10,000/year). All three offer unlimited domestic and international access with no quarterly conditions.

How do I access lounges with my HDFC card after DreamFolks closed?

Download Adani One (for Adani airports) or Hoi (for GMR airports like Delhi and Hyderabad) before your trip. Link your HDFC card in the app, check eligibility and remaining visits, and generate a QR code or voucher for entry. Cards on Priority Pass (Infinia, Regalia Gold) are generally less affected at international lounges.

Does HDFC Regalia Gold have international lounge access?

Yes, via Priority Pass. The condition to watch: Priority Pass activates only after 4 retail transactions on the card. Make a few purchases before your first international trip if you want the benefit ready.

Can I still swipe my HDFC card directly at airport lounges?

For domestic lounges, direct card swipes are no longer reliable at most airports since DreamFolks exited. Use Adani One or Hoi to confirm eligibility and get a voucher or QR code before heading to the lounge counter. For international lounges using Priority Pass, the process is largely unchanged.
