Last updated on
IndusInd Bank has changed free lounge access requirements. Now you are required to meet quarterly spend criteria on all its card. Let's look at the limits, in detail.

Starting April 1, 2026, IndusInd Bank will begin requiring a minimum spend requirement for complimentary domestic airport lounge access on its credit cards.
Here’s how it works: your spending in one quarter will determine your eligibility for complimentary domestic lounge access in the next quarter.
The effect of this new policy is that only eligible cardholders who meet the minimum spend requirement between April and June 2026 will receive complimentary domestic lounge access for the July–September 2026 quarter.
In short, if you don’t meet the minimum spend requirement, you won’t get domestic airport lounge access. To keep enjoying this benefit, you’ll need to hit IndusInd Bank’s quarterly spend target.
TL;DR: What’s Changing with Indusind Credit Cards?
- From April 1, 2026, IndusInd Bank will initiate spending criteria tracking for its credit cards.
- The new eligibility system starts with the April–June 2026 calendar quarter (Q1 of FY 2026–27); lounge access under these rules will first be granted from the July–September 2026 calendar quarter.
- Only settled and fully billed transactions within the three-month calendar quarter are counted toward the spend goal for lounge access.
- Reversals, refunds, and ATM withdrawals are excluded from eligible spends; only billed transactions after deducting such reversals are counted.
- Newly issued credit cards will have their first lounge eligibility assessed based on the preceding full calendar quarter’s spending. Card upgrades follow the rules of the new card.
Spend Thresholds & Complimentary Lounge Access for All Indusind Cards in 2026
The new spending criteria for lounge access on IndusInd Bank credit cards will require cardholders to meet a minimum spend requirement per quarter, which varies by card variant and ranges from ₹1,50,000 to ₹5,00,000.
Only after meeting the minimum spend threshold in a given quarter will cardholders be eligible for complimentary lounge visits in the following quarter.
Credit Card Variant | Minimum Spend Requirement per Quarter | Complimentary Domestic Lounge Visits per Quarter |
|---|---|---|
Indulge | ₹5,00,000 | 6 visits |
Solitaire | ₹5,00,000 | 4 visits |
Crest | ₹5,00,000 | 2 visits |
Legacy | ₹1,50,000 | 1 visit |
Pinnacle | ₹1,50,000 | 1 visit |
Celesta | ₹1,50,000 | Unlimited visits |
Previously, lounge access was a fixed benefit with no requirement for minimum spending across card variants such as Indulge, Solitaire, Crest, Legacy, Pinnacle and Celesta.
This change reflects a broader industry trend where issuers have implemented credit card devaluations, often in the form of spend-linked lounge access.
Devaluation of credit card benefits, such as reductions in airport lounge access or increased spending requirements, has become common, with issuers adjusting perks to manage costs and encourage higher card usage. Debit card spending criteria for lounge access were introduced earlier and follow a similar rolling quarterly structure.
What This Means for Indusind Cardholders?
- If you hold any of the affected IndusInd Bank credit cards, free lounge visits will depend on whether you meet the spend requirement in the previous quarter. Only settled and billed transactions are considered towards meeting this spend requirement.
- For example, to get 6 lounge visits under the Indulge card in Q2 (July–September 2026), you must spend ₹5,00,000 during Q1 (April–June 2026). Any refunds, cancellations, or reversals will be deducted from the total spend calculation, so only net eligible spends are considered.
From April 1, 2026, lounge access gets pricier not in monetary terms upfront, but through spend requirements. If you’re a frequent flyer or card user, start tracking your spend fast: your eligibility for complimentary lounge visits will depend on meeting the minimum spend in each quarter or month.
Note: Cardholders can continue to enjoy lounge visits as usual during the April–June 2026 quarter while their qualification spends are being recorded for the next quarter.
Spend tracking is based on the month and quarter in which your transactions are made, so be sure to monitor your expenses accordingly. If not, the benefit may now feel out of reach without significant expenditure. Stay informed: check your card variant, estimate your spend, and decide if maintaining or switching cards makes more sense.
