Last month, I found myself stuck with a 4-hour layover at Mumbai airport. What could have been a nightmare of uncomfortable chairs and overpriced food turned into a relaxing part of my trip, thanks to my ICICI Coral Credit Card.
I simply walked up to the lounge, showed my Coral card and boarding pass, and suddenly I had access to comfortable seating, complimentary snacks, and reliable WiFi.
What I didn't think about at the time was the ₹75,000 I'd already spent on the card that quarter. That spend is exactly why the lounge door opened. If I didn’t reach that threshold, the same card and the same boarding pass would have got me nowhere.
How Many Lounge Visits Does ICICI Coral Give?
You get 1 complimentary domestic airport lounge visit per quarter on the ICICI Coral Credit Card. It resets four times a year, aligned to calendar quarters: January–March, April–June, July–September, October–December.
But the visit comes with conditions. To unlock it, you need to have spent ₹75,000 or more on the card in the previous calendar quarter. Spend ₹75,000 or more between April and June, and you earn one lounge visit to use between July and September. Spend less, and that quarter's lounge access simply doesn't activate.
If you show up without hitting the spend threshold, expect to pay the lounge's standard walk-in rate, typically ₹500 to ₹1,500 depending on the location. Another thing worth knowing is that this benefit applies to the primary cardholder only – add-on cardholders aren't covered, and you can't bring a guest along on your visit.
Coral's reward structure and the ₹500 annual fee work fine for entry-level spenders. But if your spending on ICICI Coral card doesn't reliably cross ₹75,000 a quarter, you shouldn’t pick this card for lounge access alone.
There's no unlimited or "always-on" version of this benefit on Coral. Every quarter's access has to be earned fresh by the quarter before it.

Restrictions on ICICI Coral Lounge Access
A handful of lounges inside ICICI's network are off-limits to Coral cardholders, regardless of how much you've spent. These are reserved exclusively for Diamant, Emeralde Private Metal, and Times Black cardholders:
- Bengaluru: 080 VIP Lounge, Kempegowda International Airport (three separate VIP entries across Terminal 1 and Terminal 2)
- Hyderabad: Prive Lounge, Terminal 1, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport
- Mumbai: Adani Silver Lounge, Terminal 2, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport
- New Delhi: Prive Lounge, Terminal 1, Indira Gandhi International Airport
Coral shares the same base network as most of ICICI's other cards; it's only this small VIP tier that sits out of reach.
Tip from Personal Experience
Download the Adani One app and verify your Coral card details beforehand, since lounge networks do get reshuffled. The app shows real-time status for complimentary lounge access at your current airport, so you'll know your card will be accepted (or not) even before you get there. That ₹2 verification charge happens just once and saves you from disappointment during busy travel days.
Does ICICI Coral Give International Lounge Access?
ICICI Coral doesn’t offer international lounge access, on any variant, at any spend level. The card's lounge programme is domestic-only.
If international lounges matter to your travel – layovers in Dubai, Singapore, or a business trip through Europe – Coral isn't the card to hold that benefit on. You'd need to move up to a card that specifically includes it:
- ICICI Sapphiro covers select international lounges alongside unlimited-style domestic access, once you clear its own quarterly spend condition.
- ICICI Emeralde sits a tier above that, with broader international coverage and fewer spend gates.
If you fly internationally more than once or twice a year, the annual fee jump to Sapphiro is usually worth running the numbers on rather than trying to make Coral do a job it isn't built for.
Is ICICI Coral Eligible for Railway Lounge Access?
Yes, and this lounge benefit on Coral doesn't come with a spend condition attached. You get 4 complimentary railway lounge visits per year at select railway stations under ICICI's Railway Lounge Programme.
Access is capped at 2 hours (max 3 hours) per visit and, like the airport benefit, is limited to the primary cardholder. Add-on holders and guests aren't covered.
A ₹2 authorisation charge applies per visit, same as the airport programme.
Does ICICI HPCL Coral Have Lounge Access?
No. Despite the similar name, the ICICI HPCL Coral Credit Card is a different product. It doesn’t have lounge eligibility for either airport or railway lounges, as of the July 2026 documentation.
The card that actually has lounge access is HPCL Super Saver. It gives 1 complimentary domestic airport lounge visit per quarter, gated behind the same ₹75,000-previous-quarter-spend rule as standard Coral.
How to Activate ICICI Coral Lounge Access
- Track your spend by calendar quarter, not your card's billing cycle. The four windows are Jan–Mar, Apr–Jun, Jul–Sep, and Oct–Dec.
- Cross ₹75,000 in total spend on the card within that quarter. All spend categories count toward this threshold unless a specific transaction type is excluded under the card's terms.
- Your lounge visit activates for the following quarter. Spend ₹75,000 in Q2 (Apr–Jun), and your one visit is usable any time in Q3 (Jul–Sep).
- Check eligibility before you travel. Download the Adani One app and verify your card's live lounge status. This costs a one-time ₹2 authorisation charge and confirms whether you're actually eligible before you're standing at the lounge desk.
- Carry your card, boarding pass, and photo ID at the lounge entrance. All three are checked.
If you aren’t sure whether you crossed ₹75,000 last quarter, check your statement before you travel rather than assuming. Getting turned away at the lounge desk because you were short by a few thousand rupees is a frustrating way to find out.
