Scapia built its following on a simple pitch: a lifetime free travel card with zero forex markup and unlimited domestic lounge access. The lounge access, however, got tougher on 27 February 2026. The spend needed to unlock it rose to ₹20,000 per billing cycle.
Scapia lounge access list includes 45 lounges across 32 Indian cities, with a ₹20,000 per billing cycle spend requirement; there's no international lounge access.
This guide covers all three Scapia cards (Federal Bank, Axis Bank and BOBCARD).

TL;DR
- Lounge access: unlimited visits to domestic airport lounges in India, for the primary cardholder only.
- Spend rule: spend ₹20,000 in a billing cycle (Visa/Mastercard and RuPay spends combined). Access switches on from your next statement date, and you must stay active monthly to keep it.
- Before 27 February 2026, Scapia Federal needed ₹10,000 a month on the Visa card or ₹15,000 on the RuPay card.
- International lounges: none. Instead, a single international flight booked on the Scapia app (₹40,000+ per Scapia's homepage) gets you up to ₹2,000 back on dining or shopping at international terminals in India.
- How to enter: generate a lounge QR code in the Scapia app at the airport, with location access on and your boarding pass uploaded. Physical card swipes don't work.
- Guests: pay the lounge's normal price. Add-on cardholders need their own ₹20,000 spend.
Which Scapia cards get lounge access?
Scapia cards are issued by three partner banks, and all three follow the same airport rules:
Card | Issuer | Networks | Lounge access |
|---|---|---|---|
Scapia Federal Credit Card | Federal Bank | Visa + RuPay | Unlimited domestic, on ₹20,000 spend per billing cycle |
Scapia Axis Bank Credit Card | Axis Bank | Mastercard + RuPay | Unlimited domestic, on ₹20,000 spend per billing cycle |
Scapia BOBCARD Credit Card | BOBCARD (Bank of Baroda) | Visa + RuPay | Unlimited domestic, on ₹20,000 spend per billing cycle |
All three are free: no joining fee and no annual fee. Read our Scapia Axis Bank launch story for the Axis version's rewards.
The ₹20,000 spend rule, explained
Here's how the rule works, based on the cardholder agreements:
- Spend ₹20,000 in one billing cycle. It's counted per statement cycle, not per calendar month.
- Visa/Mastercard and RuPay spends are combined. Scapia says the ₹20,000 limit is combined across your Scapia cards.
- Access starts after your statement. It's enabled within 3–5 working days after the billing date. If your statement date is the 15th and you spend ₹20,000 between 15 November and 14 December, privileges switch on from 15 December.
- What counts: Scapia says everything counts except "non-spend" transactions such as interest, fees and EMI instalments.
- Stay active. You must be active every month to keep unlimited access.
- Add-ons qualify separately. An add-on cardholder needs to spend ₹20,000 on their own card to unlock their own access.
To check whether you're unlocked, tap the Airport icon in the Scapia app. A green "Active" tag means you're eligible.
What changed on 27 February 2026
Scapia Federal used to unlock lounge access at ₹10,000 a month on the Visa card or ₹15,000 on the RuPay card. From 27 February 2026, it's a single ₹20,000 threshold across both. But the same update stopped rewards on utility and insurance payments. We covered the full change in our Scapia Federal devaluation story.
For someone who spent ₹12,000 a month on the Visa card, that's the difference between free lounge access and none. For someone already above ₹20,000, nothing changes.

How to enter a lounge with your Scapia card
You don't swipe a Scapia card at the lounge. Entry works through a QR code in the app:
- At the departure airport, open the Scapia app and tap the Airport icon.
- Confirm your city/airport. Location access must be on, because the QR only works when you're physically at the airport.
- Scroll down and select Domestic Lounge.
- Choose your terminal and upload your boarding pass.
- Generate the lounge QR code and show it at the entrance. Staff match the name on the QR with your boarding pass.
A few rules to know:
- Departure airports only. Privileges apply where you're flying out from, including connecting airports during a layover.
- One privilege per airport visit. If you use the lounge, you can't also claim the free meal at the same visit.
- Cool-off periods. You need to wait 24 hours before claiming another privilege at the same airport, or 1 hour at a different airport.
- Stay limit. Lounges can enforce a maximum stay, usually 2–3 hours.
- Cardholder only. Guests pay the lounge's standard price. The QR is non-transferable.
- First come, first served. Some lounges have limited seating and can turn people away when full.
The alternatives to a lounge: free meal, shopping and spa
Scapia's "Airport Privileges" let you pick something other than a lounge at a domestic airport, using the same ₹20,000 eligibility:
- Free meal: eat at any airport restaurant, pay with your Scapia card, and get 100% back up to ₹1,000 in Scapia Coins (up to ₹500 at smaller airports).
- Shopping: buy at an airport store and get up to ₹1,000 back (₹500 at smaller airports).
- Spa: at select airports.
You must activate the privilege in the app before you pay. Scapia's blog warns that if you forget, you pay full price and get no coins. If the lounge at your airport is crowded or poor, the free meal is often the better pick.
Is there international lounge access on Scapia?
No. None of the Scapia cards include lounge access at airports outside India, and there's no Priority Pass. What you get instead is an international terminal privilege in India:
- Book an international flight in a single booking on the Scapia app, above the required value.
- You then get 100% back, up to ₹2,000 in Scapia Coins, when you dine or shop at an international departure terminal in India.
- It can be used each time you meet the booking requirement.
However, the booking threshold isn't consistent across Scapia's pages. Its homepage now says the privilege "unlocks with every ₹40,000 international flight booking on the Scapia app", while Scapia's Airport Privileges blog (March 2026) and BOBCARD Scapia blog say ₹50,000. Check the app before you book.

Is Scapia still worth it for lounge access?
It depends on whether ₹20,000 a cycle is spending you'd do anyway.
- Yes, if you already put ₹20,000+ a month on the card. Unlimited domestic lounges plus zero forex markup on a free card is still rare.
- Maybe not, if you'd need to move spend off a better card just to unlock the lounge. Scapia's rewards are best on travel booked through its own app, and you'd lose rewards elsewhere.
- No, if most of your flights are international. Scapia's international perk is a ₹2,000 terminal credit, not lounge access.

FAQs about Scapia credit card lounge access
How many lounge visits does the Scapia credit card give?
Unlimited domestic lounge visits, as long as you've spent ₹20,000 in the previous billing cycle and stay active. Each visit is for the primary cardholder only.
What is the minimum spend for Scapia lounge access?
₹20,000 in a billing cycle, combined across your Scapia Visa/Mastercard and RuPay cards. Access switches on from your next statement date. Before 27 February 2026, Scapia Federal needed ₹10,000 (Visa) or ₹15,000 (RuPay).
Does the Scapia card give international lounge access?
No. There's no international lounge access or Priority Pass. Instead, an international flight booked on the Scapia app gets you up to ₹2,000 back on dining or shopping at an international departure terminal in India.
How do I use Scapia lounge access at the airport?
Open the Scapia app at the airport, tap Airport, select Domestic Lounge, choose your terminal, upload your boarding pass, and generate a QR code. Show the QR at the lounge entrance. Location access must be on.
Can I take a guest into the lounge with my Scapia card?
Not for free. Complimentary access is for the cardholder only. Guests pay the lounge's standard price. Add-on cardholders get their own access if they spend ₹20,000 on their own card.
Do the Scapia Federal, Axis and BOBCARD cards have the same lounge list?
Scapia runs the same Airport Privileges programme across its cards, and the cardholder agreements for the Federal and Axis cards describe identical lounge rules. The live list for your card is in the Scapia app.
Where can I find the latest Scapia lounge list?
Scapia's latest lounge list can be found in the Scapia app, under Airport → Domestic Lounge.
Conclusion
Scapia's lounge access is still unlimited, but it's no longer easy. You need ₹20,000 on the card every billing cycle, you get in through a QR code in the app, and it stops at the Indian border. If that spending fits your life, it's one of the best lounge deals on a free card. If it doesn't, the free meal option or a different travel card will serve you better.
Before your next flight, open the Airport tab and check for the green "Active" tag. It takes ten seconds and saves an awkward conversation at the lounge desk.
